Summer '08 Greetings
from Minnesota! Have a Great Independence Day Celebration!
1. Josh returned from an amazing journey to Japan!
2. New roomie coming!
3. I booked my New Jersey travel experience for the end
of July!
4. I get requests from all over the country for Video
Jockey work - just none in the Twin Cities! Aaaah, such is life.
5. I have plans to do a major re-haul on this site with
my new software. It's not a paid job, so it's kind of at the
bottom of the list.
And prior to this update, here are a few of the items I
spoke of:
1. My Former Vermont Inn
Got a New Owner! Click for More...
2. I am working on
creating a Professional VJ Portfolio in hopes I can continue to live and
work my passion!
3. I got an awesome new
Gateway Laptop! To replace my not-so-awesome HP Laptop, which
would have been 4 this Spring, has it not started having hardware
failures. Update: I still love it!
4. What else? I'm
still single. I could try a little harder to actually make some
dates happen.
5. I would really like to
go to Ft Lauderdale again, sometime really soon! (I have said this since
my last visit in 2004). A job with VACATION time would be nice!
6. Thinking about a trip
to Ireland in the Fall? It's on the to-do list. But not
likely in '08.
7. It's a major election
year. Probably going to be McCain against Obama. That's my
forecast (I made that in February 2008!) Considering all the great leaders that won't stand a
chance, I think the choice is clear. We simply cannot put into
office another leader (McCain) who will continue to murder our men and
women of the Armed Forces by leaving them in Iraq.
YESTERDAY
IS GONE - TOMORROW IS A DREAM
There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two
days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is yesterday with its mistakes and cares, faults and
blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond all
control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a
single act we performed, we cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone.
The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow with its possible
adversaries, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance.
Tomorrow is always beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of
clouds--but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow,
for it is as yet unborn.
This leaves only one day--today. Any man can fight the battles of just
one day. It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful
eternities--yesterday and tomorrow--that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives men mad--it is remorse or
bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what
tomorrow may bring.
Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.

In
December 2005, I sponsored Gypsy Rose through the Animal Ark program. She
was adopted in January 2006. Upon learning of her adoption, I
then sponsored TIGER (photo to the left). You can meet hundreds of other homeless animals
who need our help at the
Animal Ark web site or shelter.
